I can't talk a lot about it right now, but this weekend at the ATRA seminar in Fremont, we will roll out our newsest tool. It will be used to straighten the valve body area of E40D cases. Stop by and take a look. Next week I hope to have something up on the web site about it.
Update, here is the information on the tool.
I've been offline for the last 9 months and Dennis was nice enough to write me while I was gone and even call me to welcome me back. Thanks Dennis!
I'm glad to see the 4F27E bushing kit available now. The prototype set you sent us worked out great and we haven't seen the car since it left. One of the nice things about the 5 year warranty we've offered since 1985 is that we have an opportunity to receive feedback on stuff other shops never get to see. So, if there's a long-term issue with the bushings, we will be the first to know.
We've offered our warranty as our standard warranty for so long, I sort of take it for granted most of the time and don't even think about it. Sometimes I stop and think what a totally accidental stroke of marketing genius it turned out to be when all it started out to be was to get my customers to let me know how long their transmissions would last.
I would think it would be a good testimonial for Omega to pull our buying history up and be able to say that the Omega products we have purchased have never caused us a warranty issue; even with a 5 year warranty.
The only time I can remember not having a warm fuzzy about any Omega product was the one-piece E40D case bushings. They seemed a little too tight to me, but we have never had a problem with them. I have to admit that since I changed my installation procedure, they don't seem too tight anymore.
Thanks For Everything!
